With over 1,200 students, this is a busy school where no two days are the same. You''ll be working closely with students, teachers, families and the wider pastoral team, making a real difference to the day-to-day experience of young people. What you''ll be doing As Head of Year, you''ll be at the heart of your year group''s pastoral support. You''ll: Get to know your students and understand what motivates and challenges them. Provide a consistent point of support for students who may need extra guidance. Monitor attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and progress. Work with students to overcome barriers and build confidence. Develop positive relationships with parents and carers. Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to put the right support in place. Help manage behaviour and encourage high expectations. Celebrate student achievements and recognise their progress. Support students through difficult situations and help them make positive choices.
