Nicholas Associates is partnered with a well-known groundworks sub-contractor based in the West Midlands, they provide a groundworks and civil engineering service to the construction industry. They are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor. This is a highly skilled and experienced role that will lead all project advisory activities and facilitate both compliance and continual improvement in work activities, processes, and safe working behaviours. Main Responsibilities: Advising - supporting teams with technical advice on matters arising, ensuring supervisory/management roles are equipped and capable of delivering successful projects. Inspections - conducting comprehensive inspections, ensuring timely reporting, and actions are clearly communicated, escalating concerns as appropriate. Project Reviews - participate in relevant project reviews, both routine meetings and special events arising. Investigations - conducting timely root cause analysis investigations, liaison with key stakeholders, agreeing learning, and communicating actions. External Stakeholder Co-operation - engagement of various stakeholders including clients, PC, and supply chain. Safe Working Practices - support the company and project team with the development, evolution, and deployment of safe systems of work.
