Overtime opportunities availableJob Type: Full-time, permanentThe RoleWe are seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Truck Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Reading. You will carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs to keep heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and commercial vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road. This is an excellent opportunity to work with Mercedes-Benz trucks and gain access to structured training, career development, and progression.Key Responsibilities Perform major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehiclesCarry out regular inspections and preventive maintenanceDiagnose faults and assist with repair planning alongside the teamMaintain accurate workshop records and complete relevant documentationProvide emergency roadside repair support when requiredMaintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment Skills and QualificationsEssential Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI)Experience performing diagnostic and service repairs on HGVsAbility to identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standardsFull UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes Desirable Experience with heavy goods vehicle diagnosticsStrong attention to detail and ability ..... full job details .....
