This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Consultant to work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments throughout Manchester and the wider North West.The Fire Consultant''s RoleThe successful Fire Consultant will provide professional fire safety advice throughout the design, construction and occupation stages of projects.The Fire Consultant will be responsible for:Producing and reviewing fire strategies for new-build and existing developmentsUndertaking fire risk assessments and fire safety inspectionsProviding advice relating to Approved Document B and relevant British StandardsReviewing architectural and design information from a fire safety perspectiveSupporting clients, architects, contractors and design teamsProducing clear technical reports and recommendationsAttending design team and client meetingsSupporting projects through Building Regulations and Gateway processes where requiredThe Fire ConsultantThe successful Fire Consultant will ideally have:A degree or recognised qualification in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety or a related disciplineExperience within fire consultancy, building control or a related environmentKnowledge of UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B and relevant guidanceExperience preparing fire strategies and technical reportsStrong written and verbal communication ..... full job details .....
