Currently, ADP develops and markets Arups products related to Ansys LS-DYNA (the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment) and is initiating a program of investment in new products.In this role, the Head of Software Engineering will lead multiple software development teams across a portfolio of products, beginning with the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment. With experience in developing digital solutions to support engineering and design workflows, this individual will define and implement technology strategies and roadmaps that empower teams to deliver high-quality products. Operating across multiple time zones, the role provides focus and leadership to enable high-performing development teams. Strong partnerships will be developed with other digital teams across Arup, sharing resources, best practices, and collaborating on projects. The role also contributes to the leadership and governance of ADP, actively participating in group-level initiatives and working with colleagues across Arup to advance the overall strategy.Collaboration with Product and Commercial leaders in the ADP executive team is essential to ensure that product teams thrive, adopt best-practice development methodologies, and deliver high-value products to both Arup and external customers.Key responsibilities will include:Defining and executing overarching technology strategy and roadmap, which can be translated downwards into product and solution architecturesFunctional line management of approximately 40-60 technical staff including coaching and developing technology leaders, specialists and teams.Defining and building capabilities for Software Development, QA, DevOps and Delivery, including recruiting into these areas where necessaryLeading the collaboration with other teams, such as data platform or AI specialists, as well as external relationships with key technology companies/partners.At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective in which we encourage individuality to thrive.
