EMPLOYER''S AGENT / PROJECT MANAGER | SOUTHAMPTON | PERMANENT | CONSULTANCY
 
An established construction consultancy based in Southampton is looking for an Employer''s Agent / Project Manager to join its growing team on a permanent basis.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or aspiring Quantity Surveyor, Building Surveyor or Project Manager with experience delivering new-build residential projects.
 
The successful candidate will work with a range of clients including Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Private Developers, delivering projects from pre-contract through to completion.
 
The Employer''s Agent / Project Manager''s role:
The successful candidate will support pre-contract activities including project briefs, consultant procurement, tender and contract packages and tender processes.
 
The role will also involve acting independently as Employer''s Agent throughout the delivery of projects, including chairing progress meetings, managing JCT contracts, monitoring programme, cost and quality, and proactively managing project risks.
 
The successful candidate will also oversee handover and post-completion activities, including defect inspections, final accounts and Building Manual reviews.
 
The successful Employer''s Agent / Project Manager will have:

• Previous experience delivering Employer''s Agent / Contract Administration services
• Experience delivering new-build residential projects
• Experience working with Local Authorities, Housing Associations or Private Developers
• Experience across both pre-contract and post-contract stages
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
• RICS qualified or working towards APC, or a similar professional qualification
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
• Strong client relationship management skills
