Part Time Non- Medical Prescriber - Southend on SeaPermanent£52,809Are you a dedicated and experienced Non-Medical Prescriber with a passion for supporting individuals with substance dependence? We’re looking for a dynamic Band 7 substance misuse service.As a Band 7 Non-Medical Prescriber, you will:
Provide independent prescribing for clients with substance use disorders.
Support the management of complex cases, offering expert advice and clinical guidance to practitioners, colleagues, and external agencies involved in substance misuse care.
As the Lead Nurse, you will:
Demonstrate strong clinical leadership and oversee nursing practice within the team.
Undertake key managerial responsibilities to ensure the efficient use of clinical resources.
Drive best practice and service development, ensuring high standards of care across the nursing provision.The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with the knowledge , skills and experience listed below
5 years post-registration experience
2 years working in Substance Misuse Services at a Band 6 level
Experience of managing multidisciplinary staff
Evidence of personal development since entering the NMC register
Knowledge of the safe storage and administration of medication
Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and act accordingly if concerns present themselves
Ability and knowledge to carry out assessments, including risk assessment and management
Strong IT Skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate patient records within the standards required locally, the Forward Trust and NMC
Leadership skills (motivating, use of initiative, change management)
Experience working within a recovery model
Ability to lead and develop a service
Ability to lead and facilitate decision-making processes
Organisational skills
Understanding of relapse prevention model
Ability to work in partnership with other agencies
Knowledge and ability to comply with the NMC Code of Conduct
