Business Development Manager - Construction Software

About the Client

Our client is a national provider of design and engineering software solutions. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive software adoption within the offsite construction and timber engineering sectors.

The Role

You will manage software opportunities from initial discovery through to sale, implementation, and onboarding. Working alongside Account Managers and Software Consultants, you will identify customer needs, analyse business workflows, and recommend solutions that improve design, estimating, and manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Growth: Identify and close new software opportunities and grow existing accounts.
• Consulting & Demos: Analyse client workflows and deliver technical software demonstrations.
• Commercials: Manage proposals, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
• Customer Success: Oversee implementation and onboarding to ensure long-term adoption.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal product teams and Key Account Managers.

Requirements

• Industry Experience: Background in selling into the timber frame, timber engineering, offsite construction sectors.
• Skillset: A mix of technical design software experience and B2B sales/business development track record.
• Schedules: Self-motivated and capable of managing nationwide travel from a home base.
