Join us.Introduction to the team:An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Finance team supporting the TAAP division of Expedia Private Label Solutions. TAAP (Travel Agency Affiliate Program) is Expedia''s online booking tool that serves thousands of travel advisors across the world. Significant investment has recently been made into multiple product launches and enhancements in TAAP, resulting in a truly exciting period of high growth for the division.This is a critical role, reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance and providing daily support to the Senior Manager, Commercial Finance.The successful candidate will be a key business partner to the regional sales teams located in AMER, EMEA and APAC, providing key insights and helping the team to unlock a range of commercial opportunities. The role requires someone who is productive, proactive, influential and dynamic with the ability to add significant value across the business!In this role you will:Financial modelling, review and tracking of short-term and long term incentives and key partner deals; making recommendations to the sales team and assisting with multiple rounds of negotiationsCalculate incentive payments annually and ad-hoc as neededProduce detailed quarterly forecasting of GBV, Commissions, sales costs and marketing spendReview, approve and produce reporting on promotional agency tier upgrades weeklyReview and approve Deferred Payment credit limit requests weeklyProduce weekly trading report, leading weekly discussions with Sales to ensure market context and insights are captured in commentary for distribution at an Executive levelProduce monthly profitability reporting, highlighting key trends and areas of opportunity and riskUse BI tools to improve and standardise reporting to Sales and wider EPS teams to drive greater accountability and insightCore business partner to TAAP sales team, using commercial analysis to help shape strategies for key marketsSupport TAAP Marketing and Loyalty teams, through budget management, business casing opportunities, analyzing and making recommendations on various campaignsHelp to develop and implement improved reporting, processes and controls to help scale the TAAP businessFoster highly collaborative relationships across TAAP and support the wider finance team to meet key deliverables as necessaryPerform ad-hoc analysis to support regional and global commercial projects and initiatives as well as deep-dives into specific topics to support the growth of the businessExperience and Qualifications:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsVery strong Excel financial modelling skills and extensive experience working with large data setsKnowledge of BI tools (e.g Looker, Tableau) and data extraction via SQL will be highly beneficialAbility to present data and insights in a visually compelling format to finance and non-finance audiencesStrong qualitative and quantitative financial skillsGreat attention to detailExperience in building complex models for both ongoing analysis and financial projectionsDemonstrated understanding of financials and budgeting processesExperience implementing effective controls and processesAble to lead and influence decisions across various internal functionsUses good judgment and makes decisions as necessaryExtremely organized with the ability to work on and manage multiple projects within tight timelines5+ years work experience in a similar analytical roleBachelors degree, 2:1 or above (or equivalent) and strong academic backgroundProven ability to actively manage workload; deliver to deadlines and against rapidly changing prioritiesA self-starter with proactive ‘can-do’ work ethic and strong initiative to identify current and potential problems and determine the best solutionSomeone who is great at working independently and as part of a team; takes ownership of tasks and projects and drives them to completionSolid business acumen and strong commercial instinctsSomeone who thrives in large, global, fast paced organisationsAccommodation requestsIf you need assistance with any part of the application or recruiting process due to a disability, or other physical or mental health conditions, please reach out to our Recruiting Accommodations Team through the Accommodation Request.We are proud to be named as a Best Place to Work on Glassdoor in 2024 and be recognized for award-winning culture by organizations like Forbes, TIME, Disability:IN, and others.Expedia Group''s family of brands includes: Brand Expedia, Hotels.com, Expedia Partner Solutions, Vrbo, trivago, Orbitz, Travelocity, Hotwire, Wotif, ebookers, CheapTickets, Expedia Group Media Solutions, Expedia Local Expert, CarRentals.com, and Expedia Cruises.
