About the Learning Support Assistant role: As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support their learning, behaviour, and emotional development. You will work under the guidance of teaching staff and SENCOs to help deliver tailored support strategies that break down barriers to learning and promote inclusion. Key responsibilities of Learning Support Assistant: Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND. Assist with the educational, emotional, and social development of pupils. Work closely with teachers to implement personalised support plans. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Support pupils with daily routines, transitions, and emotional regulation. Help deliver interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, or communication. Build strong relationships with pupils, acting as a positive and consistent role model.
