Retail Assistant (Part-Time)We are seeking a Retail Assistant to join our team, working in a unique and historic retail environment. This is a part-time role, primarily working one day per week (Saturday), with additional hours available as required. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the achievement of sales, profit, and shrinkage targetsDeliver consistently high standards of customer service, including during busy periodsEngage customers proactively to maximise sales through cross-selling and up-sellingAccurately process transactions, refunds, and exchangesPick, pack, and dispatch online orders within agreed service levelsMaintain strong product knowledge and stay up to date with new itemsEnsure the shop is well-stocked, clean, and visually merchandised to a high standardAssist with stock takes and report any discrepancies or damagesFollow all cash handling and security proceduresSafely move and handle stock in line with manual handling guidelinesSkills and ExperienceExcellent customer service skillsStrong verbal communication in EnglishProfessional personal presentationAbility to work effectively as part of a teamFlexible and adaptable approachConfidence in engaging visitors to support retail and tour salesQuick learner with the ability to absorb product knowledgePhysically capable of lifting and moving stock 4,800 gross per annum (based on 1 day per week; 24,000 full-time equivalent)Additional benefits include:Private medical coverPension (3.5% employee / 9% employer ..... full job details .....
