to develop and deliver the future of intelligent systems at the AA. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground level and define how AI transforms the way we serve our members and support our frontline teams.If you''re a visionary technical leader with a passion for building high-performing teams and delivering real-world impact through AI, this is your moment.What will I be doing?Lead and Inspire: Build and mentor a diverse team of AI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Build the Future: Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions that solve complex problems and deliver tangible value.Shape Strategy: Set the technical vision, engineering standards and patterns, and stay ahead of the curve on AI advancements.Collaborate Across the Business: Collaborate closely with the Head of AI architecture, as well as the product, design, and business teams, to develop and launch AI-powered products and services.Champion Responsible AI: Embed ethical, secure, and privacy-first practices into everything we build.

What do I need?Proficient expertise within software or machine learning engineering, with experience deploying production-grade systems.Proven track record in delivering GenAI applications using LLMs and orchestration frameworks.Strong Python skills and a solid grasp of modern backend and cloud-native architectures.Deep understanding of machine learning, statistics, and data-driven decision-making.Experience leading engineering teams and working with external partners or vendors.A commitment to responsible AI, including fairness, transparency, and security.
