The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Wade Deacon Trust. As we head into the new academic year, the Trust is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual looking to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment when teachers are absent. Your day could include:

• Supervising classes and ensuring students remain engaged and focused in the absence of their regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and supporting students to complete their work effectively.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently, in line with school policies.
• Providing guidance and support to students throughout lessons, helping them stay on track with their learning.
• Creating a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school team to support the smooth running of the school.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, reliable, and passionate about supporting young people. You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience working with young people or within a school or education setting.
• Confidence in managing a classroom and promoting positive behaviour.
• Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
• A genuine interest in education, with this role being an excellent opportunity for those considering a future career in teaching.
