We have an established in-service training program and are supported by experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapists and Band 8a Clinical Leads.Your responsibilities include performing advanced assessments for patients with diverse and complex conditions, diagnosing functional status, and developing individualized treatment plans. You will manage your own caseload and work independently within a defined area, with access to senior advice and support. Supervision and professional development are integral to our practice, including informal and formal discussions, clinical reasoning sessions, and peer reviews.You will undertake all clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, demonstrating excellent time management and planning skills. Additionally, you will supervise, educate, and assess less experienced staff to ensure departmental standards are met.Our trust, led by Chair Jacqui Smith and Chief Executive Matthew Trainer, serves residents from diverse London boroughs and parts of south-west Essex. Over half of our 7,500 staff are from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups, primarily residing in Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge. We provide comprehensive healthcare services across two main hospital sites—King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen''s Hospital in Romford—as well as outpatient services at several clinics.
