Student Support Officer - Corby

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a supportive and inclusive school in Corby who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Officer to join their team from September 2026.

The Role

As a Student Support Officer, you will:

• Provide pastoral support to students across the school.

• Work closely with pupils who may require additional guidance and intervention.

• Support attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement initiatives.

• Build positive relationships with students, families, and external agencies.

• Monitor and track student progress and welfare concerns.

• Assist with behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches.

• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, or support setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to build rapport with students from a range of backgrounds.

• A calm, resilient, and proactive approach.

• Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
