Veritas Education is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to teach a Year 5 class at a primary school in Burnley from November 2026.
This opportunity would suit a confident Key Stage 2 teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, set high expectations and support pupils of different abilities. There is also a potential Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) opportunity, making this an attractive role for someone interested in taking on additional responsibility.
The role
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
Assess pupils'' progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom with clear expectations for behaviour.
Work closely with colleagues and parents to support pupils'' learning and wellbeing.
Contribute to the wider life of the school.
The ideal candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has successful teaching experience in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5.
Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management.
Has a proven ability to support pupil progress.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children''s welfare.
This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
