This is a hands-on role based near Royston, where you will take ownership of procurement operations, supply chain development, inventory management and supplier performance, helping to support the scale-up of production activities.Responsibilities- Develop and implement robust purchasing processes covering quotations, purchase orders, goods receipt, inspection, invoice reconciliation and inventory management.- Drive improvements in supply chain planning, transitioning towards demand-driven replenishment systems.- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate commercial terms and identify cost reduction opportunities.- Monitor stock levels and ensure material availability to support manufacturing schedules.- Track and report key procurement metrics, including inventory performance, costs and cashflow forecasts.- Oversee third-party logistics activities and support efficient operational processes.- Work closely with manufacturing, operations and finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.Requirements- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing or a related supply chain role.- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.- Ability to balance strategic improvements with day-to-day operational demands.- Good analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office software.- Experience implementing business systems or managing improvement projects would be advantageous.Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
