Ares Wealth Management Solutions (AWMS) oversees the product development, distribution, marketing, and client management activities of investment offerings for the global wealth management channel. AWMS represents one of the most resourced wealth distribution and client service teams in the alternatives industry, backed by the power and scale of the Ares platform. AWMS’ mission is to provide advisors and their clients access to innovative, solutions-oriented investment opportunities across a platform of credit, private equity, real assets, and secondaries strategies.Position Summary
The candidate will have a variety of responsibilities and will work in close coordination with various Ares business lines, primarily with regards to the product sales strategy and ongoing product support for existing strategies in the private wealth distribution channel.Primary Duties
Serve as a subject matter expert with the ability to present strategies and products both in-person and virtually to a wide range of audiences (investment committees, due diligence teams, advisors, bankers, end clients, conferences)Provide ongoing support and key real-time product, investment and market updates to sales teams working with advisors, investment teams, portfolio managers and other key stakeholders on a global basis with a focus on EMEA and APACProactively identify issues impacting the product line and recommend next steps/solutionsAccurately and effectively position our investment solutions based on information from Asset Management, external news sources, internally run data, feedback from sales, and other sourcesResponsible for reviewing others'' work to ensure accuracy and message consistencyRespond to sales inquiries in a timely manner (answer questions, provide data, etc.)Work across AWMS business functions including Marketing, Sales, Client Services and Private Wealth Partnerships to support product initiativesMarket research and competitor analysisRespond to special requests from Senior ManagementRequired Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
6-10+ years’ experience in investment banking, asset management, consulting, or wealth managementStrong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skillsInterest and knowledge of financial markets and investment asset classesDesire to work in a team environment and ability to cultivate strong relationshipsDemonstrated ability to write effectively and strong communication and presentation skillsSuperior organizational skills and ability to manage junior team membersFamiliarity with markets, securities, investment strategies and the relevant regulatory frameworkStrong judgmentStriving for excellence and driven to contribute to the company’s successStrong command of the full Microsoft Office suite (notably Excel and PowerPoint)CFA Charterholder or progress towards a plusOutstanding record of academic achievement and professional accomplishmentIn addition to English, fluency in one of French, German or Italian is strongly preferredReporting Relationships
