Overview

Two TEC Project Support Officers - Installations are invited to join Birmingham City Council on a 12-month fixed term contract. The main responsibility is the timely installation of technologies in a citizen''s property. This is a customer-focused role with daily interactions with citizens in their homes. The post holder will manage their own diary, schedule appointments, install communication devices, and clearly explain the process to each citizen on each visit. You will also support practitioners to make the right TEC referral based on assessed needs. No previous technical experience is required as full training will be provided. A love for people, excellent customer service and empathy are essential. These roles are primarily office-based within the Careline Service in Holt Court, Aston, Birmingham, and require a vehicle with a full driving licence. Cars or vans can be provided via Careline or expenses can be claimed for using your own vehicle. Holt Court is in the CAZ and charges may apply for older vehicles that must be managed by the post-holder.Responsibilities

Work directly with Social Care Practitioners and access the Eclipse case management system to review referrals and process TEC in line with Careline procedures.Book timely appointments with citizens to visit and install or de-install TEC from their property.Explain TEC and complete all required paperwork with the citizen and/or family, ensuring they understand how to use TEC and what it can be used for, and that they are clear on how to use it in an emergency before you leave.Complete all necessary documentation and ensure accurate recording of TEC visits in Eclipse and Care Control to support citizen safety should emergency support be needed.Work as part of a collaborative team with ASC and Careline to deliver the best service to citizens.Application and Diversity
