Shift Maintenance Engineer

3 week rotation 3/ 4/ 3 with overtime opportunities

We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food producer in Strabane. You''ll be joining a solid engineering team with a company who respect the important of equipment maintenance.

Ideally looking for Electrical bias but if you are Mechanical with good knowledge of electrical and desire to up-skill then you will be considered!

Based in a fast-paced production environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in minimising downtime, maintaining plant performance, and supporting continuous improvement.

The Role

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across plant equipment
• Minimising production downtime through effective fault diagnosis and repair
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities
• Leading installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment
• Providing technical assistance to other departments as required
• Identifying maintenance issues and contributing to ongoing improvements
• Supporting and training apprentices in line with best practices

What We Are Looking For

• Time-served with Level 3 in relevant trade (Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronic)
• Maintenance experience in similar production, FMCG or manufacturing
• Excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose faults across electrical control circuits, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Hands-on experience with PLC-controlled machinery and programming motor inverters
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
