We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in the Dudley area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with a range of additional learning needs.

The successful candidate will have experience working with pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and will be committed to providing an engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils with PMLD and MLD to achieve their academic, social, and personal development goals.
  • Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to maximise outcomes.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing in all learners.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience working with pupils with PMLD and MLD.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Be passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve and succeed.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Be patient, resilient, and committed to delivering outstanding educational experiences.

What the School Offers:

  • A supportive and collaborative staff team.
  • Well-resourced learning environments designed to meet the needs of SEND learners.
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development and specialist SEND training.
  • Strong leadership and a positive school culture.
  • The opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.

This role would suit an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream teacher with relevant SEND experience who is looking to develop their career within specialist education.

If you are passionate about inclusion and dedicated to helping every pupil reach their potential, we would love to hear from you.
