Astute''s Power team is partnering with a leading power company in the UK to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for its Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) site in Kent.The Mechanical Engineer comes with a salary up to 65,000 + private medical + benefits package.If you''re a Mechanical Engineer with experience on heavy industrial sites and are looking for then submit your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Engineer role Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader you will: Carry out preplanned and reactive maintenance on site, working on equipment including but not limited to conveyors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, fans, boilers etc.Scheduling, planning and optimising all mechanical maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner including shutdowns / outages.Supervising and directing contractors as required.Work closely with the operational department to assess and review plant performances and support returning plant to service.Experience with long-term outage planning and contract spec writing would be hugely beneficial.
