Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)
We are looking for a motivated, Maintenance Engineer (mechanical bias), ideally with some electrical knowledge, to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production machinery and facilities. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and supporting continuous improvement projects.Key Responsibilities:- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance across machinery and facilities- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards- Contribute to process improvement and machinery efficiency initiatives- Maintain excellent housekeeping and workshop standards- Support shift handovers and provide guidance to operational staffSkills and Requirements:- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering- Multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally with electrical knowledge- Experience in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment preferred- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills- Knowledge of safe systems of work (permits, risk assessments, method statements)- Excellent communication skills, flexible and proactive approach- Microsoft Office competency- Driving license desirable; FLT and IPAF certification advantageousBenefits:- Training and career development opportunities- Shift work allowance- Supportive, quality-focused work ..... full job details .....
