Project Manager / Project Engineer BESS Location: Stoke-on-Trent (3 days on site) Rate: £400 per day Contract: Long-term, anticipated until mid-2028 Sector: Battery Energy Storage / Power Infrastructure A major UK energy infrastructure project. A long-term contract. The opportunity to take ownership of key work packages on a large-scale BESS development. We''re working with an established energy infrastructure contractor looking for an experienced Project Manager or Project Engineer to support the delivery of a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project near Stoke-on-Trent. This isn''t a role where you''ll simply be overseeing progress from a distance. You''ll take direct responsibility for delivering allocated work packages, managing subcontractors and suppliers, coordinating engineering interfaces and ensuring everything progresses smoothly through construction, commissioning and handover. Working alongside an experienced project delivery team, you''ll play a key role in keeping the project on programme and resolving issues before they become bigger problems. What you''ll be doing Taking ownership of allocated work packages from procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover. Managing subcontractors, suppliers and OEMs to ensure delivery against agreed programmes and milestones.
