Transport Supervisor

Alexander Steele Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a successful FMCG business in their search for a Transport Supervisor.

This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with all transport regulations. You''ll lead and support a team of Transport Planners, monitor fleet performance, maintain high service levels and drive operational excellence across the transport function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily transport operations and delivery performance
• Oversee route planning and scheduling activities
• Lead, coach and support Transport Planners
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company standards
• Support fleet availability, maintenance planning and driver safety
• Monitor KPIs and identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Act as a key liaison between drivers and internal stakeholders

Key Requirements:

• Experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of fleet operations and transport compliance
• Experience managing and developing teams
• Excellent organisational and communication skills

Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:30-18:00 (with occasional weekend cover)
