Overview

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Specialist Sonographers to join the Imaging Team at the Community Diagnostic Hub at Finchley Memorial Hospital. As a specialist sonographer, you will be involved with the delivery of ultrasound services including gynaecological, general abdominal, small parts, paediatric and MSK ultrasound examinations. The trust supports development to Consultant level through training and CPD opportunities. Flexible working is considered.Please note that due to the practical nature of this role Skype/Teams interviews will not be considered.Responsibilities

You must be highly competent, willing to embrace modernisation and workforce development; contribute to efficient service delivery.Commitment to clinical teaching, professional development, audit and collaborative projects.Minimum of two years post-qualification with at least one clinical specialism including MSK, Head and neck.Qualifications and experience

Education: DCR or BSc diploma/degree or equivalent; PGDip in medical ultrasound / DMU equivalent; HCPC or relevant professional registration; evidence of CPD.Experience: Significant experience at band 7; experience working with clinical leads to develop services; experience with multi-disciplinary teams; experience in major ultrasound areas including gynaecology, abdominal, small parts, MSK.Skills and attributes

Ability to lead and work as part of a team; ability to teach and mentor students; track record of audit; patient and safety focused.Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams; ethical and empathetic handling of sensitive information; understanding of local and national ultrasound guidance.Ability to cope with work pressures, manage time, and make prompt decisions; autonomous and team-based working; familiarity with PACS/RIS and Viewpoint systems; accurate record-keeping; ability to analyse statistics and deliver against performance targets; knowledge of clinical governance.Able to work flexibly to meet service needs; assertiveness, influencing and negotiation skills.About us
