Senior Economist role at SandP Global Market Intelligence. The Pricing and Purchasing team delivers vital price, cost and inflation information to help clients recognize cost savings and gain a strategic advantage in negotiations.Responsibilities

Monitor and update historical and forecast dataActively participate in forecast model development effortsForecast near-term prices for a global buying audienceCreate monthly and quarterly reports with emphasis on the drivers of the near-term price outlookRespond to clients’ research-related questions by providing thought leadership and timely insightWhat We’re Looking For

BA/MA in Economics plus 3-5 years of related experienceStrong and adaptable research and analytical skills, including ability to interpret data and research, and write/produce structured, compelling reportsStatistical / modeling experience, preferably in EViewsCoordination skills; ability to prioritize own workload and work to deadlines and under pressureIntellectual curiosity and eagerness to explore and leverage new technologies and methods including GenAI tools and technologiesPreference for candidates with one or more years working as an analyst following the steel, construction, or automotive industriesPreference for candidates with business proficiency in French or GermanKnowledge of carbon markets, international trade, and European economies is a plusStrong team spiritCustomer-focused backgroundAbout SandP Global Market Intelligence
