Multi Skilled Engineer

Multi Skilled Engineer – Manufacturing (Food Industry)
Some engineering jobs give you a toolbox, a hairnet and a long list of things you can’t do.
This isn’t one of them.
Here, being a Multi Skilled Engineer means exactly that — using your skills. Yes, you’ll fix breakdowns. Yes, you’ll keep production lines moving. But you’ll also get listened to when you’ve got better ideas on how to stop things breaking in the first place.
Because contrary to popular belief, food factories don’t run on fairy dust and good intentions. They run on people like you who know how to fault-find at speed, tweak a control panel without breaking into a sweat, and keep calm when everyone else is panicking about lost production.
What you’ll be doing (apart from drinking too much tea):Planned and reactive maintenance (because stuff breaks, obviously).
Spotting and suggesting improvements rather than bodging it and hoping for the best.
Getting your head around a mix of machinery — some new, some… let’s call it “heritage equipment.”
Keeping food safety and H&S at the front of your mind, because salmonella is not a KPI anyone wants.
Talking to production in a way they actually understand.
Enhanced pension (more than the legal minimum, thankfully).
Private healthcare.
Annual pay reviews and profit-related pay (yes, actual money in your pocket).
Discounts that make your payslip go further.
Training that isn’t just a PowerPoint and a signature at the end.
Electrical Level 3 NVQ (HNC is even better).
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Fault-finding skills with or without drawings (MacGyver vibes welcome).
Knowledge of electrical control panels, inverter drives and pneumatics.
Initiative. Common sense. The ability to keep people in the loop without using 14 acronyms in one sentence.
So, if you’re a Multi Skilled Engineer who wants to be more than “the person who gets shouted at when the line stops,” you know what to do.
Apply.
