Working closely with our team, you will ensure data is efficiently loaded, processed, and available for use across the business. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a data-driven, collaborative environment and want to make a tangible impact on business outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Manage, maintain, and optimise cloud databasesMonitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvementsDesign, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of large datasetsImprove and implement processes for loading, validating, and managing data setsEnsure data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant standardsAutomate routine database and data pipeline tasks to improve efficiencySupport the development and deployment of new data-driven products and featuresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutionsEssentials About YouMust have:at least 7 years’ experience as a Data Ops Engineer/Database Administrator (DBA)Strong SQL skills and experience with database optimisation and performance tuningStrong practical skills in PHP, Python, SQL.At least 5 years’ experience using Athena, Glue, RDS, S3, Linux scriptingExperience with data modelling, data wrangling, schema design, and database security best practicesAbility to manage large, complex datasets and troubleshoot data issuesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaborativelyHighly Desirable:Experience with automation and DevOps Engineer tools for database management and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with data warehousing, OLAP/OLTP concepts, and modern data stack technologiesWorked with Geolocation dataWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits (dependent on experience)Corporate benefits packageOffice-based role in central Altrincham with excellent transport linksOpportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies in a fast-growing companySupportive team environment and opportunities for professional developmentExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaborativelyTo Apply:
