Freelance Site Manager Required in Colchester

GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor to join them on a project at the Barracks, and upon the MoD project being completed, move onto projects within a sensible commute of Colchester.

-Given the nature of the project, a BPSS clearance is mandatory which required 3 years employment accounted for. The assignment is ongoing and could very likely lead to a permanent position.

The Site Manager must have/be:

• Experience working on MoD projects is advantageous
• Strong background working for a main contractor
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Site Management
• Ability to oversee day-today operations and subcontractors
• Strong health & safety awareness
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
• BPSS Clearance

Key Responsibilities of the Site Manager:

• Monitor and manage all works to ensure quality of workmanship is of the highest standard
• Work alongside the commercial team to ensure the project is delivered successfully
• Management, control and mitigation of all risks relating to site activities
• Maintain accurate and timely project documentation
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities
• Maintain strong relationships with the client and consultant team
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld at all times
• Deliver the project to programme and quality expectations
