Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Implement strategies to promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and achievement
Job Description:
As a SEMH Support Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and adapting strategies to support the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students
- Collaborating with the teaching staff to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEMH needs
- Providing regular feedback to teachers and other professionals on student progress and well-being
- Supporting the overall well-being of students, promoting a positive school culture
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students impacted by SEMH
- Willingness to apply for or possess an Enhanced DBS (can be processed through us if needed)
- Registration with EWC (Education Workforce Council)
