Teaching Assistant - EYFS / KS1 (SEN Support)Working in Partnership with a Wonderful Mainstream Primary School in CreweStart Date: ASAPAstro Education is proud to be working in close partnership with a warm, inclusive and supportive mainstream primary school in Crewe to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant.This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is patient, nurturing and committed to supporting young children with additional needs within a mainstream school setting.About the Role and ChildrenYou will be supporting a small group of approximately 10 children, from Reception to Year 2, all of whom have significant developmental delay.Some children are pre-verbal, and several present with Autism. The children are taught within a carefully structured environment led by a class teacher, supported by two Teaching Assistants (this role being one of them) and a Welfare Assistant.Although this is a mainstream school, the provision is calm, well-resourced and thoughtfully organised to meet the children''s individual needs while remaining closely connected to the wider school community.The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:Support children 1:1 and in small groupsHelp develop communication, interaction and early learning skillsSupport emotional regulation, routines and transitionsWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support teamCreate a calm, safe and nurturing learning environmentSupport personal care where required, always with dignity and ..... full job details .....
