I''m working with an established engineering manufacturer in Northamptonshire who is looking to add an experienced Project Engineer to their design team. Despite the title, this is a very hands-on mechanical design role. You''ll be working predominantly in SolidWorks, producing machinery designs, general arrangement drawings and manufacturing drawings, while also managing BOMs and supporting projects through the full engineering lifecycle. What you''ll be doing Designing and developing mechanical equipment using SolidWorks Producing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings Creating general arrangement drawings and plant/system layouts Designing fabricated and sheet metal components and assemblies Creating, maintaining and releasing Bills of Materials (BOMs) through the company MRP system Working closely with manufacturing to take designs from concept through to production Supporting projects from initial design and customer approval through manufacture, installation and commissioning Liaising with customers and suppliers on technical requirements Attending site where required to take measurements and support layouts/design development Working with the wider project, sales and manufacturing teams to deliver ..... full job details .....
