Band 6 Substance Misuse Community Nurse Location: Medway Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 DOE Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time Advertising End Date: 13th March 2026 About The Role We re looking for a Full Time (35 Hours) registered Community Nurse to join our multidisciplinary substance misuse team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to people affected by drug and alcohol dependency across East Kent. This community-based role offers the chance to make a real difference through assessment, treatment, harm reduction and recovery-focused interventions, always keeping the person at the centre of care. What you ll be doing Deliver and supervise high standards of nursing care for people with substance dependency Undertake triage, health assessments and ongoing clinical reviews alongside case managers Provide 1:1 interventions, group work and brief interventions within a recovery framework Support physical and mental wellbeing, including access to primary care and mental health services Facilitate and support community alcohol detox programmes Provide specialist clinical interventions, including health checks, ECGs, FibroScans, Pabrinex and Buvidal administration, as well as Hepatitis B vaccinations and Hepatitis C testing.
