Assistant Chef Peterborough, Westraven Community Cafe National living wage foundation - 24,242.40 per annum CKH are looking for an Assistant Chef to join the amazing team at West Raven Community Caf . The Assistant Chef supports the Caf Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the caf . The role is responsible for ensuring the ongoing success of the cafe as a community hub for residents of Westwood and Ravensthorpe to eat, meet, learn, grow and be inspired in line with CKH strategy to make a difference to local communities. Core Responsibilities include: With support of the Caf Manager, prepare and deliver the daily food menu. To provide support and cover for the Caf Manager as and when directed by the Community Projects Manager. To support the Caf Manager with Health and Safety management and monitoring of the caf . To establish and maintain links with the local community and key stakeholders. Contribute to menu planning that meets the needs within the local community and serves healthy food using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. Following a sustainable procurement policy, source suppliers with support of the Caf Manager for all of the caf requirements, supporting local providers where possible. Work alongside the established WestRaven Community and Caf charity to support the community caf in accordance to local need.
