Manufacturing Engineer and CNC Programmer We are representing a well-established precision engineering company within the aerospace sector that is looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer and CNC Programmer. This is a key role within their engineering team, focused on supporting production through advanced CNC programming and process development. The Role As Manufacturing Engineer and CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for generating CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines and developing end-to-end manufacturing processes for new and existing components. This includes tool definition, setup documentation, routing configuration, and ongoing optimisation of workflow and space utilisation. You will work closely with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and play a crucial part in improving manufacturing efficiency, cost reduction, and quality control. Key Responsibilities Generate CNC programs (GibbsCAM preferred, others considered) and prove them into production. Develop tooling plans, setup sheets, and workholding strategies. Configure supporting process elements: routings, tooling, gauges, inspection methods. Define materials, tools, and methods to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets. Lead improvements in workflow, layout, and process capability. Support AS9100-compliant documentation and quality systems.
