The Role

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated FMCG manufacturing facility in South Leeds. Working in a team of 4 engineers (alongside a senior engineer), you will provide electrical and mechanical support to ensure production runs smoothly across a fast-paced environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role involving both reactive and planned maintenance, with excellent opportunities to develop your skills in automation and Siemens S7 systems.

Shifts: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off
Salary: -50,000 - -53,000 per annum (up to -57,000 for exceptional candidates) + Annual Pay Review
Location: Large-scale manufacturing site in South Leeds

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of packaging, filling, sealing, and capping equipment.
• Work as part of a team of 4 engineers across rotating shifts.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring minimum downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food manufacturing standards.
• Liaise with production teams and senior engineers to prioritise tasks effectively.

Candidate Profile

• FMCG or high-volume manufacturing experience (essential).
• Multi-skilled engineer - electrically biased preferred, but mechanically biased with solid electrical knowledge will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, and automation equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible team player with excellent communication skills.
