Job Title: Temporary Mechanical Fitter/Maintenance Technician Location: Sunderland/Durham Duration: 3-6 Months Job Summary: We are working with our client who are a Manufacturer seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their Maintenance team on a temporary basis. This may lead to a permanent role. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical components and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems according to specifications. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and standards. Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
