Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager - Required ASAP

Rate / Salary: -500600 per day (freelance) or -110,000130,000 per annum (plus package)
Engagement: Freelance / Temp-to-Perm / Permanent

Role Overview:

A well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their Central London office. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of a major project across the life sciences, commercial, education, and leisure sector, with values ranging from -50 million to -200 million.

This is a key role requiring expertise in both pre-construction and full project lifecycle management, ideally on high-value, complex new build, refurbishment, and fit-out schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing financial reports and cost forecasts

• Budget management and commercial risk control

• Advising on contract and commercial strategy

• Leading client and stakeholder engagement

• Supporting dispute avoidance and resolution

• Assessing compensation events and payment applications

• Reviewing and managing subcontractor and supplier performance

• Mentoring junior commercial staff

Preferred Experience:

• Delivery of projects valued between -50m200m

• Experience with PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement)

• Strong understanding of full project lifecycles

• Proficiency in NEC and/or JCT contracts

• Sector experience in life sciences, commercial, education, and leisure projects
