About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our Regional team to work across our UKCS Regional Civils (East, North West, Central South East and South) side of the Balfour Beatty Business based out of our Leeds or Warrington office.This role will cover multiple projects across different locations, which offers a variety of exposure to our exciting portfolio of projects.We are looking to build a strong technical hub within the Balfour Beatty UKCS Regional Civils Temporary Work department. We are looking for a technically strong, ambitious, energetic Temporary Works design engineer who is seeking to develop themselves and help create strong technical capabilities within the team. What you''ll be doing As a Temporary Works Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Undertaking temporary works design and checking for individual projects either independently or under the supervision of a senior engineer including: Site establishment Haul roads Working platforms Service protection slabs Shoring solutions Earthworks excavation and slope stability Formwork/ falsework Temporary bridges Scaffolding and edge protection Rebar cage stability Propping You will: Ensure internal and subcontractor designs comply with the temporary works design brief and are delivered within the required timescale.
