Working for a top Lloyd''s Syndicate, the Senior Claims Technical Specialist - Marine will be responsible for the overall management of highly complex Marine claims, and will be recognised as a technical expert in the interpretation of complex or unusual policy coverages.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging highly complex investigations of Marine claims.Negotiating highly complex settlement packages, and authorising payments within authority.Monitoring and predicting claims development trends and planning for consequences. Keeping current on appropriate regulations and issues, industry activity and trends.Contributing to business planning and supporting the UW strategy.Ensuring large and significant claims are identified at an early stage.Partnering with Solicitors, Customers, Brokers, Experts and Insureds to develop a focused strategy for timely and cost effective resolution.Key RequirementsMinimum of 5 years'' experience of handling Marine claims, ideally including experience of handling cargo and freight liability claims, in the Lloyds and company markets.Confident delivering the claims proposition.Participates in key market initiatives.Recognised as a leader by class of business peer groupAdvanced technical and product specific expertise, claims resolution skill and knowledge of insurance and claims principles, practices and procedures.Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.Advanced analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage and ..... full job details .....
