This consultancy delivers projects across multiple, niche sectors from residential housing developments, logistics, retail etc. They’re on the hunt for a contract Senior Civil Engineer for their Manchester office.This role is for one of the industry’s leading team where they have an excellent reputation, offering a wealth of expertise in all sectors of the built environment.The role:Demonstrate good development of knowledge in civil engineering and development infrastructure.Have awareness of construction contracts and terms of appointment. Can liaise with clients, stakeholders, local authorities, and highways officers.Be fully conversant with sectional agreements such as S38, S278, etc.Have awareness of business development activities and be responsible for the preparation, issue, and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements.To have limited responsibility for technical, financial, and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by your line manager. To maintain high standards of information presentation and to ensure their accuracy.What you need to succeed:Relevant degree (ideally an accredited Masters Degree with ICE in Civil or equivalent Level 6 qualificationIdeally Chartered or Incorporated with relevant professional body or working towards ChartershipIdeally a minimum of 4 years post graduate experienceCompetent in relevant drawing, modelling and experienced in the application of relevant design softwareStrong technical knowledge of relevant legislation and standardsGood commercial awareness and project management skills and experienceManage continuous professional development and stay updated on legislationProficient in Microsoft Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills
