An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trial Research Nurse in the Urology team as part of the Cancer Research Delivery Group (CRDG) at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital.We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with high attention to detail who is energized by working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The candidate should have experience in haemato-oncology nursing. Chemotherapy training and competence are desirable. The candidate will work within a highly effective team and should have good IT and communication skills. Previous experience working in clinical trials would be advantageous.The Clinical Trials Research Nurse is an independent practitioner working within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of a clinical research portfolio, including in-house, national, and international clinical trials related to anti-cancer treatment or palliative care, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, or supportive care. Responsibilities include:Coordinating clinical trials according to GCP regulatory requirements.Collaborating with key personnel to ensure continued care and support for patients involved in clinical trials.Accurately and promptly completing trial data and documentation.The post holder will develop specialised skills and knowledge related to the conduct of clinical trials, therapies, and disease sites. They will be equipped to help patients make informed decisions about participation in clinical trials by providing advice, information, and acting as their advocate.Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country and a leading healthcare provider in Britain.
