The Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial accounting operations and the production of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across The Boundary''s global entities. This role oversees the full month-end close process, statutory accounts preparation, tax compliance support, and audit coordination, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement in financial control.As a key operational finance leader, the Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Group Financial Controller with reporting quality, governance, and systems development. The role interfaces with the wider finance team, including FPandA, Business Planning, and regional business leaders, to support scalable, compliant, and well-documented financial operations.This role is based 100% at our office in Camden (NW1 7DJ). We will only consider people who already have the right to work in the UK.ResponsibilitiesManage monthly and quarterly close processes (journals, reconciliations, intercompany)Ensure accuracy of PandL, balance sheet, and cash flow statements across entitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in ERPSupport Balance Sheet reconciliations and documentationAssist with preparation of statutory accountsCoordinate external audit activities and respond to auditor queriesEnsure reconciliations and working papers are audit-readyEnsure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirementsLead documentation and process improvement across finance operationsIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processesAssign tasks, review outputs, and oversee day-to-day accounting deliveryProvide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development supportOversee AP/AR processes, payment runs, and cash postingsSupport tax compliance tasks including VAT returns and payroll reconciliationWork closely with PandC to support payroll accuracy and timingMaintain ERP confi gurations and chart of accounts disciplineSupport reporting integrity across ERP and linked planning toolsEnsure timely updates to cost centres, GL codes, and system accessKPI/MetricsMonth-End Close Timeliness and AccuracyNumber and Quality of Reconciliations Completed On TimeStatutory Reporting and Audit PreparednessAP/AR Cycle Times and AccuracyTeam Development and EngagementCompliance with Controls and Policy DocumentationThis list is not exhaustive, other KPIs and Metrics may change or be added as requiredRequirements
Strong experience in accounting, financial operations, or audit rolesExperience in group finance or multi-entity environments preferredExposure to global or multi-currency reporting advantageousExperience preparing for or working directly on audit and statutory filing processesPart-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent)Strong experience in accounting systems (ERP, e.g., NetSuite, Xero, Sage)Proficient in Excel; exposure to close management tools advantageousFamiliarity with planning and project systems a plus (e.g. Kantata)Strong attention to detail and accountabilityProactive learner able to improve processes while ensuring complianceOrganised, dependable, and self-drivenComfortable managing up and supporting team membersClear and concise communicator with good documentation disciplineCapable of building strong relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholdersStrong technical accounting understanding (IFRS or local GAAP)Competence in reconciliations, journals, trial balance reviews, and ledger maintenanceAbility to manage junior staff , set expectations, and support growthComfortable delegating and quality checking outputs in a structured environmentSalary: £55,000 to £60,000 dependent on experienceBonus Scheme: based on annual company performancePension SchemeHolidays: 25 Days (increases 1 day per year of service up to 29) + Bank HolidaysGym membership paid for or contribution to other fitness goalsCycle to Work and Tech SchemesMental Health supportRegular team events and social activitiesFantastic office environment in a nice location
