We have a further three care homes in development in London.About the opportunity:As a Bank Maintenance Assistant you will be responsible for:To support the Maintenance Engineer in creating a safe and well-presented environment whilst consistently delivering an exceptional experience for our residents and their familiesUndertake daily tasks so the functional upkeep of the care home, bedrooms, communal areas involving indoor and outdoor are well maintained and kept to the KYN standard.Support the Maintenance Engineer in health and safety, compliance checks and risk assessments.To undertake routine maintenance tasks and minor general repair work as requested by the Maintenance Engineer.Ensure that the maintenance of the garden and exteriors is to the KYN standardTo check the maintenance request book for tasks to be completedSupport the Maintenance Engineer in weekly fire alarm tests and routine checks of fire doors, security doors and window restrictorsTo undertake routine checks of Wheelchairs, Reclining Chairs and Nursing BedsSupport the Maintenance Engineer in monthly visual checks of the firefighting apparatus, e.g., extinguishers and hydrants and document in line with complianceTo check water temperatures of sinks, showers, and baths monthlyTo ensure water flushing is undertaken in line with risk assessments, KYN policy and national standardsTo keep accurate records of any work undertakenTo clean shower heads and waste trapsSupport the Maintenance Engineer in checking water hardness and water temperatures within the boiler room and keep accurate recordsTo keep the water softener topped up with saltTo fit shelves and picture hooks in residents rooms as requestedTo assist staff with moving furniture as requestedTo ensure a supply of matched paint and undertake redecoration and repair works to the interior and exterior of the buildingTo change light bulbs and clean shades as requiredTo ensure that the grounds and car park are free from litterTo ensure external bin areas are kept clean and tidyTo support the Life Enriching Activity Lead/Life Enriching Activity Co-ordinators in the implementation of a whole home approach to the provision of meaningful occupation for all residents, taking a proactive attitude towards the engagement of all residents at all timesTo be flexible to work in several KYN Homes, supporting other maintenance personnel and covering holiday periodsTo be able to carry out the physical demands of the job safelyTo adhere to KYNs policies and proceduresAbout you:Experience in a similar roleA professional, who understands the importance of maintaining high standards
