HLTA - SEND and Autism SupportNorth Manchester Full-Time Long-Term to Permanent Aspire People Aspire People are working with an inclusive primary school in North Manchester who are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their Inclusion Base. The provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including children with autism who are developing their communication, engagement and foundational learning skills. This role would suit an experienced HLTA who is passionate about SEND and wants to play a key role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils who require a different approach to learning. The Role: Leading day-to-day provision within the Inclusion Base Supporting pupils with autism and communication needs Planning and delivering practical, engaging learning sessions Supporting early communication and foundational learning Delivering phonics and reading activities where appropriate Adapting activities around individual pupil needs Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour Understanding behaviour as a form of communication Working alongside the lead teacher to develop provision Supporting and guiding other members of the team Monitoring pupil progress and development Supporting personal care and toileting where required The Ideal Candidate: HLTA qualification or equivalent higher-level qualification Strong experience working with children in a primary setting SEND experience, particularly ..... full job details .....
