Ocho is partnering with a fast-growing, product-led client as they build out a brand-new Development team from scratch for an exciting Greenfield project. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building, and scaling modern backend systems in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems with a focus on performance and scalability

Collaborate across small teams to solve real customer problems with elegant technical solutions

Own the full SDLC, from analysis to release and beyond

Mentor and support your teammates, bringing leadership and clarity in complex situations

Actively contribute to technical direction, tooling choices and architectural decisions

Essential Experience

8+ years'' experience in software engineering roles, ideally with some Fintech experience

Deep expertise in Core Java, OO design, and software architecture

Proven delivery of secure, scalable, high-quality services

Familiarity with modern development tools and practices including CI/CD, automation, and behavioural-driven development
