MIS Systems Engineer

The Software Systems Engineer develops, modifies and codes software systems programming applications. Responsible for evaluating and preparing system engineering and technical analyses; documents, proposals for change, and other technical documentation.Responsibilities
Key participant in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communicationCollaborate on analyzing the existing software and improving the processesOrganize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionalityKey participant in integration of in-house software for our test equipmentTaking part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimizationKey participant in the design and development of MES production applications covering the data pipe integrating shop floor to enterprise application with systemsWorking on Smart Factory Solutions as part of our Industry 4.0 StrategyTaking part in modifying and optimising existing systems and development of new opportunitiesCollaborating with various internal teams and external vendors on software projectsCreating reporting tools for end usersProviding production support for existing systems and processes developed by the MIS teamTraining end users to use new functions and systemsManage database backups and recovery proceduresImplement database security measures to protect sensitive informationMust be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demandsQualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demandsStrong communication skills; oral, written and presentationStrong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve resultsStrong personal and professional ethical values and integrityHolds self-accountable to achieving goals and standardsProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersDesirable Criteria
MCSA and or MCSE in MS SQL3+ years'' experience in developing MES applications.Machine integration and data collectionExperience in data optimization and report creationProven track record of improving performance of databaseExperience and understanding of SQL Database Migration, Restoration and MaintenanceExperience with data transformation and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processed.Data WarehousingWe offer
