CarmichaelUK are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways project in Cambridgeshire.

As a Section Engineer, you will play a key role in managing the site engineering team, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the setting-out team from construction to completion

• Allocate labour, plant, and materials in liaison with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman

• Manage performance and development of Site Engineers

• Resolve technical issues on site in coordination with senior team members

• Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements

• Produce programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans

• Contribute to financial forecasting and cost control

About You:

• HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Working towards or holding professional membership (ICE preferred)

• Demonstrable experience in highways construction and supervision

• SMSTS or SSSTS

• CSCS (White, White-Yellow, Black, or Gold)

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
