Paid volunteering opportunities in your community About the Role The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for carrying out mechanical installation, maintenance, refurbishment, repair and commissioning support activities on power transformers and associated high-voltage equipment within electrical substations, renewable energy projects and industrial environments. Working as part of a multi-disciplined team, the role involves the assembly, dismantling, inspection and maintenance of power transformers and associated mechanical equipment.
